My Story in the Mountains 💙
Hi, I’m Macarena Ortega, a Chilean painter who found her place in the Pyrenees, where I live and work in my small studio surrounded by mountains.
I’ve always been a mountaineer, and here I discovered my artistic identity: snow, skiing, and nature-related sports became the heart of my work. I paint watercolors that I later reproduce as Fine Art Giclée prints, aiming to convey the calm and beauty of those unique moments in the mountains.
I started in Barcelona, drawing the city and its architecture, but moving to the mountains allowed me to truly find my voice. My works are minimalist, modern, and at the same time classic, because skiing is a sport with history, and I like to use white as a way to reflect the snow and the vastness.
In every print I send, a little piece of this place goes with it, made with care and authenticity, to travel to any corner of the world. 💙
